Pleski's Purple "Rain" Poplar Projects...try saying that 10 times fast!  

Todd is a customer of ours that travels over 897,600 lineal feet to pick up wood from us every couple weeks! Ok, he's not just coming down here for us, but has family down here too. 

​He took a chance on what the industry calls Rainbow Poplar, but what we renamed as Purple "Rain" Poplar here at Discount Lumber and has crafted some beautiful pieces recently.  Ranging from End tables to Clip Boards.  [Check out the photos below to see his awesome work!]

Todd has a background in art and is a self taught woodworker with some passed on knowledge from his father and grandfather. Todd said, "I always have liked to work with wood and build things. Started out with making live edge trays and evolved into making cutting boards and boxes. And now I’m doing tables chairs while still continuing what I started out with." He's always expanding his horizons and experiences. Todd grew up in the forest out in the country. When asked, "What is your favorite piece created so far?" Todd said, "I think my favorite piece I have crafted to date would be the purple poplar end table and dining table. I always have a new favorite every time I build something interesting."

Todd is the owner/operator of his woodworking business and also does handyman jobs on the side. His specialty would be natural edge trays and boxes. But is expanding his abilities to try new things.
